"ACCESS DENIED IS DENIAL ALLOWED."

The highlight of the service, was a powerful message from the Lord, which was delivered  by Pastor Cosfinney Udoka titled; "ACCESS DENIED IS DENIAL ALLOWED."

He read the following bible verses: Matthew 11 vs. 23, 4 vs. 13, and  Mark 1 vs. 32-34, 2 vs. 1-5 and gave the following insights:

"Jesus had a habit of giving relevance and importance to people and places that had been relegated to the background; Capernaum was like that, and Jesus was interested in the place. In the same vein, Jesus is interested in you and in your case. No matter how much you feel the world has rejected you.

"It is not enough to go around hoping in man, in flesh. A time will come when the things or people you depend upon will fail you, and you will need to know another kind of "person" that cannot fail you . That "person" is Jesus.

"There is always another door that can be opened for you, no matter how many have been closed against you. That door is there, whether or not you know it's there. God is making a way for you, and His grace will get the door open.

"We need the hammer of God to break any roof that has hindered our miracles. That roof can be our [negative] attitude to life, sin, etc.  Any man that operates in grace has the permission to break the roof just like the four friends of the paralytic man broke the roof in Capernaum in order to get through to Jesus.

He concluded by saying the first step to access all God has for us is to receive Christ in our hearts as our Lord and Saviour. When we do that, God makes a way for us. Jesus Christ is the only door we need to go through in order to start the journey to access all God has in store for us.

The hope of the "ladder-holders." Wednesday Mid-Week Service

It was another refreshing time in God’s presence at House On The Rock Asaba. God’s glory was evident in the midst of His People as De Masterpiece lifted our Spirit during the call to worship,  Praise session and worship with lovely songs like: “I surrender all”, “all things are possible”, “Bless the Lord with me” ,“Be glorifies, “Everything” and “He knows my name ”. All songs were led by Ministers Chuks, Ufuoma, Knowledge and Lois respectively. These were done after Minister Sam said the opening prayers.

These  are announcements for the week as taken by Pastor Dexter:

1. The "woman to woman" conference
2. The 26th of May will be a children's day service.
3. All those who made any form of pledge or vow were encouraged to redeem them.
4. The new classes for Family House Academy will start this coming Sunday, May 12th.

He welcomed the host pastor here at HOTR Asaba, Pastor Cosfinney Udoka to deliver the message from the Lord.

The Senior Pastor announced that he would use the first half hour to conclude the leadership series, and the last half hour to answer questions from the congregation [on the series].

Bible Verses: Luke 16 vs 10-12, 12 vs 42-44, Prov. 28 vs 20, 26, Psalms 12 vs 1, 1 Cor. 4 vs. 2

Message Title: The hope of the "ladder-holders."

"If you cannot be faithful in another man's thing, God will not give you your own. There is a difference between faithfulness and "face-fulness."  "Face-fulness" is an act of wickedness, and does not please God. Faithfulness is a requirement in the school of riches. If you're not faithful, you're not likely to be rich or blessed.

"Every ladder-holder is destined to climb that ladder. Every servant is a potential leader, you cannot lead without serving. Being a "ladder-holder" is a privilege that sets you on the path to leadership where someday, people will hold your ladder. It is not easy to be a "ladder-holder," but hold on. It takes humility to serve, but in the end, in will be worth it.

"No matter the age or qualification of your leader, in the church, home or office, follow him. God put him as your leader for a reason. It took strong faithfulness and humility for the disciples to follow Christ because some of them were older and more qualified than He was. God rewards faithfulness, no matter where it was carried out. Faithfulness in service is a "fixed deposit," you must get it back.

"You must always learn to go down in life by yourself because after that, your natural destination is up. God did not program us to be stars, He programmed us to shine like the sun. Wherever you are serving, in any capacity, serve well. God does not reward talent or gifts, He rewards faithfulness.

"It is wrong for a man to hold your ladder hopelessly, without vision of climbing the ladder someday. When your "ladder-holder" has a vision of holding the ladder someday, he will hold your ladder and support you properly. Learn all you need to learn while you're holding the ladder so that when it gets to your turn of climbing the ladder, you won't make some mistakes."

He ended the message by saying that the aim of the leadership series is to build good leaders tomorrow. Good leadership starts with good service.

The question and answer session was interesting and enlightening.

We were blessed with the heaven-inspired teaching of God's servant tonight and through out the leadership series.

Tithes and offering were collected and closing benedictions said, bringing the beautiful service to an end.

"Which tree are you eating from?" Sunday, First and Second services

It was a blessing to have another time of fellowship with the Lord and His children at House on the Rock, Asaba.

Both first and second services were communion services.
The first service was declared open after intercessory and open prayers by Ministers Ejiro and Ebere. After a brief call to worship led by Minister Saviour.

Praise was an amazing time and it was led by Ministers Paulnams, Mariam and Mercury with the song titles like, "Sweeter" and "Oh Halleluyah." The worship session was a time we touched heaven and it was led by Minister Maryann with wonderful songs like "Majesty," and "Jehovah, we praise you."

After the beautiful praise and worship session, Pastor Dexter gave the following announcements during first service:

1. CITH [Church in the Home] will take place today at 5 p.m.,
2. On the 26th of May, the two services will be children's services,
3. The week-long prayer and fasting will end on Tuesday, with prayers held daily at 5 p.m.,
4. Kindgom partners are enjoined to redeem their pledges,
5. Woman to woman conference comes up from the 31st of May to the 2nd of June, 2013.

The announcement was preceded by a special song by , "De Masterpiece" titled, "Turning around for me."

Chinwe welcomed the newcomers in our midst during first service and encouraged them to prayerfully consider making HOTR Asaba their home church.

Second service was similar with the exception of the welcome of newcomers that was handled by Pastor Chikelu.

After the newcomers were welcome in both services, our senior pastor here at HOTR Asaba, pastor Cosfinney N. Udoka, came up to deliver the message of the Lord.

The message in both services was titled, "Which tree are you eating from?"

Bible Verses: Gen. 2 vs 9, 16, Luke 24 vs 25-33, Rev. 2 vs 7, 22 vs 14, Gen. 1 vs 29, Proversbs 15 vs 17, Daniel 4 vs 10-12.

"The health of man was considered when God told man the kind of food to eat. The wrong food shortens a man's life span; it was eating the wrong food that caused Adam to fall.

"Any man that has communication and relationship with God does not need any other knowledge, because God is his knowledge. There will come a time in the life of an individual when his/her body will no longer be able to carry the soul and spirit of that individual. The tree of life was intended for man to eat from, at God's time, according to His perfect design. However, Adam and Eve were in haste and couldn't wait for God's time. Hence, the fall of man.”

"We live in a knowledge-based world, where almost everything is done on that basis. However, God didn't program us to walk solely by knowledge, but by faith. The God-kind of knowledge is instruction-based. The knowledge of the world can distract you and make you doubt the knowledge of God, but no matter how much distraction comes with the knowledge of the world; God's knowledge supersedes that of the world.”

"The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is comparison-based, it is the tree of self-satisfaction, self-aggrandizement. It has a content of good, but it is evil. It opens our eyes to shame; we need the tree of the knowledge of God, the tree of life, not that of the knowledge of good and evil. We are nothing without God; fulfillment is in Him and Him alone. Our lives should be based on and rooted in the tree of life.”

"The tree of life was a tree of promise from God to man and even after they ate it without God's permission and fell as a result, God began to make necessary arrangements for their redemption and salvation. He had to push Adam and Eve away from the garden so that He could distract the devil as He made the arrangements.”

"The holy communion, the body and flesh of Christ is symbolic if from the right tree, is symbolic of the tree of life, of salvation. The tree of life will open your eyes into glory, to who God is to you. Each time you partake of the [holy] communion, symbolic of the tree of life, your eyes will be opened to who God is to you. The communion was introduced to us by Christ to sustain the flesh and to keep us connected to the Father, through Him, with the enabling power of the Holy-Spirit."

He concluded by saying that every food you eat has the capacity to open your eyes. Just like the eyes of Adam and Eve were opened in shame when they ate from the tree of good and evil, the eyes of the disciples were opened when Jesus appeared and broke bread with them after His death and resurrection.
He prayed over the congregation and the communion was administered.

The service started with intercessory prayers led by Sam. Min. Knowledge led the Choir during the call to worship with the song titled, "He knows my name."
Min. Mariam Efogwo led the congregation with inspiring songs like, "High in all the earth," "Holy, Holy, Holy," and "Glorious."
The heart of the congregation was lifted up to heaven in worship which was led by Paulnams with the following song titles:
"With everything," and "Majesty."

The following are the announcements for the day as taken by Pastor Dexter:
1. There will be a baby dedication of Mr. & Mrs. Ajibade today
2. CITH [Church in the home] review comes up this Saturday, May 4th, 2013,
3. New classes for Foundation School and Finding the Rock will start this upcoming
 Sunday, May 5th, 2013.

The Senior pastor here at House on the Rock, Asaba, pastor Cosfinney Udoka, delivered the word from the Lord. Before he went on to deliver the message, he reminded the church that the women's conference is coming up from May 31st to June 2nd.

He continued the leadership series with the message was titled, "How Jesus chose His "ladder-holders."

Bible text was taken from the book of Luke 5 vs 1-11, 27, 28.

The following are major highlights of the massage:

"When you choose the right people, the right "ladder-holders," you will succeed in your leadership career. The right "ladder-holders" will carry on the vision of the leader.

"The first thing that Jesus did when he started His ministry was to take time to choose His "ladder-holders." He selected Peter, James, and John all at once because of the partnership they had. Christ new that partnership was very important to His ministry, so He picked men who understood the value of partnership.  Anyone you will choose as your assistant or "ladder-holder" must be willing to be in partnership with you and must understand team work.
